Built for the Future
WaveBaffle™ was conceived by Fred Ross and engineered by Kyle Gerber, P.E., developed with Big Thunder Marine Group and Shoreside Engineering.
Designed at Lake of the Ozarks, WaveBaffle represents a fundamental shift in how we approach wave control. Instead of reflecting energy back into the water, our patented baffling system absorbs and dissipates it, creating genuine calm while maintaining aesthetic and environmental harmony.
Professional engineer bringing decades of structural and hydrodynamic expertise to wave attenuation design.
Visionary founder who identified the fundamental flaw in traditional breakwater design and pioneered the solution.
Collaboration with industry leaders in marine construction and shoreline engineering solutions.
Traditional fixed breakwaters and seawalls reflect wave energy back into the basin, where it collides with incoming waves and keeps the water churning. That reflected energy is what damages docks, strains mooring hardware, and makes a marina uncomfortable to use. WaveBaffle takes a different approach: as a floating wave attenuation system, it progressively dissipates wave energy through controlled water flow instead of bouncing it back. The result is genuinely calmer, more usable water and longer-lasting waterfront structures.
